What is Mixed Load?

A Mixed Load is a shipment containing different types of goods, often belonging to different consignees, loaded in a single trailer or container. This is a common practice in logistics where various small consignments are combined to form a larger shipment, which can be transported more efficiently.

Freight companies commonly use mixed loads to optimise transportation resources and reduce costs. The individual consignments are packed and labelled separately and are often handled at different times and locations during the shipment. Proper planning and coordination are required to ensure that the delivery of each consignment is made on time and in good condition.
