What is OBU?

OBU, short for On-Board Unit, is a portable electronic device installed in a vehicle that enables automatic toll collection.

The OBU communicates with sensors at toll stations to automatically deduct toll charges from a pre-paid account. This system reduces traffic congestion by eliminating the need for vehicles to stop and pay tolls manually. OBUs are used worldwide to facilitate efficient toll collection and traffic management.
