What is WCO?

The World Customs Organization (WCO) is an intergovernmental organisation that serves as the global forum for customs matters.

Established in 1952, the WCO aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of customs administrations worldwide. Its members include customs administrations from over 180 countries and several international organisations and businesses. The WCO works to promote trade facilitation, secure and streamline supply chains, and combat cross-border crime. Through collaboration and developing international standards and best practices, the WCO helps ensure the smooth flow of goods across borders while safeguarding the interests of customs administrations and their partners.
